A leading authority on women’s issues, VANITY FAIR writer and former NEW YORK TIMES reporter Leslie Bennetts – author of the new Joan Rivers biography – will share an intimate portrait of a life that is sure to entertain and inspire.
In today's fast-paced world, many women have to reinvent their lives and careers, and no one ever did it better than Joan Rivers. A fearless pioneer who overcame personal and professional ruin in midlife, Rivers made all her dreams come true in the second half of a dazzling career, when the wife who never read a contract transformed herself into the CEO of a billion-dollar company. How did she succeed where so many others fail? Leslie Bennetts will share the secrets of Rivers' success as she took charge of her own destiny and racked up late-life achievements that turned her triumph into one for the record books. As entertaining as it is illuminating, Rivers' remarkable story makes her an inspiring role model - and the ultimate poster girl for financial independence and women's empowerment.
